Evidently, the iPhone has been release in France, and for 100€, you can get it unlocked and be able to use it with any company. That's a sweet deal.

I may buckle and get the new, souped up iPhone. I've never owned a cell phone (i feel too pretentious being out in public, yapping away on a phone; but there are times it would come in handy). The 'tied to one particular carrier' would be a pain. But, that would take care of my decision-making problem.
